Photo Evidence Policy

  • At handover the vendor takes a minimum of 4 photos (front, back, sides, meter reading). You accept the condition via OTP.
  • At return, photos from the same angles are mandatory — the return cannot complete without them.
  • All photos are timestamped and visible in your booking.

Deposit & Damage

  • The security deposit is held by RentKaro — it never goes directly to the vendor.
  • After return, the vendor has 24 hours to file a damage claim. No claim = deposit refund is initiated automatically.
  • You can accept or dispute a damage claim. In disputes, the RentKaro team compares before/after photos and makes the final decision.
  • Refunds reach your bank in 5–7 working days (depends on your bank).

Cancellation

  • If the vendor rejects or does not confirm within 2 hours → 100% automatic refund.
  • Cancel 48+ hours before the start date → full refund.
  • 24–48 hours before → 50% rent refund + full deposit.
  • Within 24 hours → rent is non-refundable, deposit fully refunded (if handover has not happened).
